What AeroRide is
AeroRide records your kitesurfing and wingfoiling sessions and shows you what it measured. It is a sports tracking app. It is not a safety device, not a navigation instrument, and not a substitute for judgement, training or the right equipment.
The safety features, plainly
AeroRide can share your position with contacts you choose and can raise an alarm if your GPS signal drops or you stop moving. These depend on your phone having battery, signal and a working GPS, and on you having set them up. They can fail, and they will fail if your phone gets wet, flat or lost.
**AeroRide does not call anyone for you and does not contact emergency services.** Do not go out in conditions you would not go out in without it.
Your account
You need an account to sync. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at destek@aerori.de if you think someone else has got into it.
One account per person. Do not upload sessions that are not yours, and do not falsify data — leaderboards and challenges only mean anything if the numbers are real, which is the entire point of this app.
Your content
Your sessions, tracks, photos and posts stay yours. By posting something publicly — a shared session, a feed post, a leaderboard entry — you allow us to show it to other riders in the app. You can delete it, and deleting it removes it.
Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, or belonging to someone else. We can remove content and suspend accounts that do, and we will if asked to by law.
Measurement
We report what the sensors measured, and when we cannot measure something we say so instead of estimating it. We do not promise the numbers are accurate to any particular tolerance — a phone in a pocket is not laboratory equipment, and GPS and motion sensors have limits. Do not use AeroRide's figures for anything where being wrong matters, such as a competition result or an insurance claim.
Availability and price
AeroRide is in field testing and is not in the app stores yet. There is no charge today. If paid features are introduced, existing free features that you already rely on will not be taken away without notice.
We may change, suspend or stop the service. If we stop it, we will give you notice and a way to export everything first.
Liability
AeroRide is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the app, from relying on its measurements, or from a safety feature not working. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Law
These terms are governed by Turkish law, and the courts of İzmir have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protections of the law where you live.
